How long will it take to get a refund?
If you filed your taxes electronically, information on your refund should be available in 8-10 business days. If you filed a paper return, allow 12-16 weeks before checking on the status of your refund.
However, if the income tax return is randomly selected for review, the refund may be delayed. A taxpayer whose refund is being reviewed should be notified of the delay.
To avoid delayed income tax refunds, follow the advice provided by the Louisiana Department of Revenue at: http://wwwprd1.doa.louisiana.gov/AskLouise/PublicPages/DisplayQA.cfm?RecordID=314
