| Purpose/Function | The purpose of the Board is to promote, preserve, and protect the public health, safety and welfare by the effective control and regulation of the practice of pharmacy; the licensure of pharmacists; and the licensure, permitting, certification, registration, control and regulation of all persons and sites, in or out of this state, that sell drugs or devices to consumers and/or patients, or assist in the practice of pharmacy, within the state. |
| Budget Message | The Board intends to purchase and install a replacement package for its licensure information system, converting from an application purchased in the 1970s to a browser-based integrated information system to coordinate licensure and enforcement functions. In addition, the Board intends to acquire a new website address and develop an entirely new website, including a content management system with mass communication capabilities. Finally, the Board intends to purchase an office building and relocate its operations to that facility. |
