To further combat the spread of COVID-19 in Louisiana, Gov. Edwards issued a Stay-at-Home Order on March 22, 2020 (Emergency Proclamation 33 JBE 2020, hereinafter, "the Order") --directing all Louisiana residents to shelter at home and limit movements outside of their homes beyond essential needs. Statewide, the order went into effect at 5 p.m. Monday, March 23. The Order provided, further, in "SECTION 11: All departments, commissions, boards, agencies and officers of the State, or any political subdivision thereof, are authorized and directed to cooperate in actions the State may take in response to the effects of this event." Thus, no LEBA Board meetings have been held since the order went into effect in March, in accordance with the Order.

In person meetings have resumed since Emergency Proclamation 33 JBE 2020 expired on March 16, 2022.
